Type of courses accepted for CE Credit:
Independent self-study courses
Classroom study at least 50% of the total CE hours required must be in classroom or classroom equivalent courses.
Insurance Professional Designations. Designation "parts" passed by national exam are usually worth 15 - 20 hours of credit.
Insurance-related college/university courses
Course Subject Requirements:
The biennial requirement must include 2 hours of certified ethics or consumer protection for all license types except adjusters.
Adjusters biennial CE Course requirement must include 2 hours in consumer protection.
Texas insurance licensees may satisfy the remainder of the CE requirement by completing certified courses applicable to any license type.
