New York Real Estate Appraiser Class Online

Levels of Licensure
There are four levels of real estate appraiser licensing. They are:
- State Licensed Real Estate Appraiser Assistant
- State Licensed Real Estate Appraiser
- State Certified Residential
- State Certified General
New York License and Certification Requirements:
A high school diploma or a general equivalency diploma
At least 18 years old
Show proof that the educational requirements have been met
Satisfy the experience requirement
Satisfactory completion of the Board exam with a test score of 75% or higher.
An application for the New York exam must be submitted to the Division of Licensing Services BEFORE walking in to take an exam.
After the application for examination has been processed, the Division will send an exam admission card. The exam fee is $50 payable by check or money order only.

Appraisal Methods - The course is appropriate for students who are interested in receiving 14-hours of continuing education credit. The purpose of this course is to provide students with knowledge and understanding of the appraisal methods. Students will learn the principles of value, the three approaches to value - sales comparison, cost, and income, reconciliation and gross monthly rent multipliers.
Overview of the Appraisal Process - The course is appropriate for students who are interested in receiving 14-hours of continuing education credit. The purpose of this course is to provide students with knowledge and understanding of the appraisal process. This course covers the types of value, the valuation process, general and specific data analysis, residential real estate markets, neighborhood analysis, site and improvement description and analysis and the concept of highest and best use.
