Most insurance and investment professionals in NJ must take Insurance CE Continuing Education courses to satisfy the state of New Jersey's regulations.

New Jersey has recently adopted a new licensing law that keeps the overall requirement of 48 continuing education credits. However, revisions in the law make it mandatory that a producer licensed as of November 4, 2002 earn:
24 hours must be in topics related to the line(s) of authority for which the producer is licensed.
Six hours must be in topics related to fraud and professional ethics. This requirement commences with the first FULL licensing cycle following November 4, 2002. (e.g. a producer whose license renews 01/31/2003 must fulfill these requirements in order to renew again on 01/31/2007)

NJ Carryover Requirements
Carryover of excess CE credit hours is NOT allowed.
New Jersey Insurance Course Repetition
Credit will not be given for courses taken more than once in a four-year period.
Final Exam
Online classroom equivalent courses do not require a monitor. Online or paper-based Self-study final exams are required to be monitored by a disinterested third party. Monitors must be preapproved by WebCE prior to completing an exam.
