Georgia Real Estate Appraisal Courses

Begin a career as a licensed real estate appraisal professional by taking online courses approved in Georgia for certification. The home appraiser and property appraisal training can be taken for initial licensing or CE - Continuing education credit.

Exam Certification

To begin practicing as a certified home real estate appraiser, you need to study for and pass an appraisal exam that will test on the principles of the profession and market and will have specific exam questions to the laws of Georgia.

The main licensing certification course covers all a student needs to pass the Georgia exam.

The appraisal training overs the following:

A Comprehensive Exam Prep Package preparing you for the License Level exam covering all the content areas tested on the New 2008 National Uniform Licensing Exam! The modules are made up of the following components:
Short pretest consisting of multiple-choice questions covering the specified topic
One or more case studies consisting of worksheets that you must complete before answering questions over those worksheets
Instructional lessons which present detailed explanations of the topic area along with multiple-choice questions over the material

Content areas covered: Basic Appraisal Principles Exam Prep, Sales Comparison Approach, Income Approach, Site Valuation, Cost Approach, Report Writing and URAR Exam,

Although this prep package is designed for the Georgia License Level Exam only, for the Certified Residential or General Level Exams it would be a good basic review.

Continuing Education Training for Appraisal CE

Home and property appraisers in Georgia must take ongoing continuing education courses. These CE credit hours are approved to be taken online for licensed and certified appraisers who passed the certification exam in Georgia.

CE Rules

As a prerequisite to renewal of an appraiser license, an appraiser shall present evidence satisfactory to the Board that 14 hours of Board approved continuing education have been obtained for each year of the renewal period.

90 hours for the Registered Real Property Appraiser classification. 90 hours must include 15 hours of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP).
