Connecticut Real Estate Appraisal Course

for a Real Estate Appraisal License and to pass th exam. A home appraiser can work part time or full time. The online course is approved in Connecticut for all students.

CE Continuing Education
All licensed and certified appraisers must take periodic continuing education course credits and hours to satisfy state requirements. These CE training courses are approved in the state and reporting is provided.
The following categories of Connecticut appraisal licensure are established:
State certified general appraiser
State certified residential appraiser
State provisional licensed appraiser
The scope of practice for each category is as follows:
(1) The state certified general appraiser scope of appraisal practice includes the appraisal of all types of real estate, without regard to transaction value, for all types of transactions including federally related transactions.
(2) The state certified residential appraiser scope of appraisal practice includes the appraisal of all residential real estate, without regard to transaction value, for all types of transactions including federally related transactions.
(3) The state provisional licensed appraiser scope of appraisal practice includes the appraisal of real estate while under the direct supervision of a certified appraiser or licensed appraiser, for the types of property and in the types of transactions the supervising appraiser is permitted to appraise. The purpose for this category is to provide an entry level that will allow appraisers to develop the appraisal experience needed to qualify for a category of certified or licensed appraiser.
The main course covers real estate concepts, finance, the valuation process, neighborhood analysis and much much more.
Students also learn about the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices.

Connecticut appraisal course continuing education CE requirements:
Successful completion by certified, licensed or provisional licensed appraisers of twenty-eight (28) classroom hours in courses approved by the Commission, or the successful completion by limited appraisers of fifteen (15) such classroom hours, during the two (2) year period preceding such renewal except that provisional licensed appraisers shall have no continuing education requirement at the first renewal of their provisional license. The classroom education shall include, one course consisting of at least three (3) classroom hours in current real estate appraisal legislation, licensing laws and regulations, professional standards, and real estate equal opportunity laws and regulations.
Successful completion of an approved Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) course of not less than fifteen (15) hours, including the examination, once every six years;
or
Equivalent continuing education as determined by the commission for part or all of the continuing education requirement.
